older pregnant womenA new study has suggested that women who get pregnant in later life are five times more likely to suffer depression as a result of the stress they go through during their pregnancy.

The study aims at women in their late thirties and early forties and it is thought that the reason for the increased anxiety is down to concerns about their health and that of their babies.

It was also found that older new mothers had less support and feel more isolated because fewer of their friends are going through the same thing.
