NHS Expect Baby Boom This Autumn
There has been an increase in the number of pregnant women needing antenatal care with their babies due this Autumn - nine months after one of the country's coldest Winters.

Couples got cosy last winter while much of Britain was badly affected by snow that lasted from the middle of December through to the middle of January
On a normal year the end of August, beginning of September normally have a rise in births connected to the Christmas and New Year season. This is when couples are off work during which they relax together and drink more than usual.
Hospitals have started to prepare for the coming month on the labour wards which they expect to be busy after realising that more than the usual amount of women have had their 12 -week scans earlier this year.
