Former Xtra Factor presenter Konnie Huq is expecting her first baby. She and hubby, broadcaster and screenwriter Charlie Brooker are reported to expect the new arrival next Easter. The ex Blue Peter presenter is expecting a baby boy and is said to be 'over the moon'. Her agent Jonathan Shalit said: 'Konnie is telling friends how happy she and Charlie are.' He added: 'She is definitely pregnant and is 100 per cent expecting a boy.'
Konnie presented BBC One children's show Blue Peter for just over a decade before quitting the show in 2008. She then went on to host the Xtra Factor for one series but was dropped from the spin-off show and replaced with Olly Murs and Caroline Flack.
Charlie and Konnie got hitched in the Little White Wedding Chapel in Las Vegas.
The couple are often described as an odd pair because of their radically different personalities.
Charlie, 40, is described as a satirical pessimist while Huq has a clean-cut happy-go-lucky image.
Despite their opposite traits the pair are deeply in love.
In an interview with the Guardian last year, Konnie was asked, 'What or who is the greatest love of your life?' to which she replied, 'My husband.'
